To address the challenges of climate change, citizens, NGOs, governments, and businesses are mobilizing.
Behavioral, technical, and economic innovations are all levers for making the necessary adaptations to these new challenges.
This report presents the regulatory framework implemented by the authorities and reviews the actions decided and commitments made to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (COP21, Sustainable Development Goals, etc.). It also discusses various French and European innovation support programs (PIA, H2020, LIFE program) and the support provided by ecosystems (competitiveness clusters, etc.) to innovators.
GreenTech Startups
As part of the GreenTech initiative, the ministries responsible for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition and Territorial Cohesion are developing innovations that should accelerate the government’s policies regarding the Ecological and Inclusive Transition. The analyses conducted as part of this thesis illustrate their contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, protecting biodiversity, and reducing pesticide use. To do this, they implement various technological innovations such as blockchain and artificial intelligence. They strive to develop production and consumption solutions that are more economical in terms of non-renewable raw materials and develop new processes that reduce or eliminate the use of pollutants. This thesis, which completes my final internship at the GreenTech incubator of the Ministry of Ecological and Inclusive Transition, is now available on this blog under the following title: Innovations Accelerating the Ecological and Inclusive Transition.
