European Green deal: a call for 1 billion euros in July

The European Green Deal is a European project aimed at making Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050.

The reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 50% (even 55%) by 2030 is at the heart of the Green Deal, along with the circular economy which is the number one priority.

A minimum investment plan of one trillion euros over ten years is provided for in this green pact. It will mobilize public investments and help unlock private funds through European financial tools.

As part of the European R&I program, Horizon 2020, nearly one billion euros will be allocated starting in the second half of 2020 to a new “Green Deal” call.

This call aims to support experimentation and social innovation to develop new ways to engage civil society and enable producers and consumers to make more sustainable choices.
