Fundraising training for green tech startups

formation

A training day dedicated to fundraising was held on September 25th at Place de la Concorde in Paris in the lavish offices of the Jones Day law firm.

The morning presentation, given by Mr. Pineau-Valencienne (Partner of the firm), focused on the legal issues of fundraising, its timeline, and specific questions related to shareholder agreements.

Julien Morel, Director of Essec Ventures, detailed the vision and expectations of investors when meeting with a startup. Due to the way funds operate, the concept of exit is particularly important and structures the future relationship, even before the first euro is paid.

Understanding the expectations of VCs (Venture Capital or venture capital funds financing early-stage startups) in this area is therefore a key issue for startups and significantly increases the chances of successful fundraising.
