Meeting of the RST and Startups Europe Club

Réunion Club Europe du RST

On April 12, 2019, the General Commission for Sustainable Development and the Directorate for European and International Affairs of the Ministries of Ecological and Inclusive Transition and Territorial Cohesion brought together 60 participants for a meeting.

This meeting was organized by the European Club of the Scientific and Technical Network (RST) and 25 startups, with the aim of expanding their reach at the European and international levels.

After an introduction by Thierry Courtine, Deputy Director, Virginie Dumoulin, Director of European and International Affairs, presented the mechanisms and challenges of supporting startups in Europe and internationally.

Benoit Spittler (CGDD) presented the Greentech Verte initiative, and Nathalie Cecutti (CGDD) presented European funding tools.

Two pitch sessions and two roundtable discussions enabled discussions between startups and RST Europe operators, including ENPC, IGNfab, IFPEN, Cerema, CEA, and Météofrance. Greentech startups presented innovative products and services from TRYON, Seligo.pro, My Troc, AmplisIM, Green Shield Technology, Wever, Mobi-Lise, Tinto-Eco, Novengine, and Eco Tech Ceram.

Startups already working with RST operators included Urban Canopee ENPC, Wind my Roof ENPC, Vivrou/e-attract IGNfab, Géovélo IFPEN, Logiroad IFSTTAR, Geocorail Cerema, NAWA Technologies CEA, Sylfen CEA, HDRain, Cool Roof, Hydrao, and VH quatrevingtreize.

The roundtables brought together ADEME, CEA, IFPEN, ENPC, MétéoFrance, MESRI, DG Trésor, Famae, and KIC Climat. Hélène Barthélémy, Deputy Director of Water and Biodiversity, concluded a day rich in exchanges between startups and government operators, to enable joint outreach to Europe and the international stage.
