Wever was selected by the American jury of the Ubimobility 2019 program, led by Business France and BPI, to expand into the North American market.
From June 2 to 14, Wever will be one of eight French mobility startups that will be supported and presented to the American market through a business road show and several stops between San Francisco and Detroit.
The Ubimobility program is particularly focused on the autonomous vehicle sector. The Ubimobility program’s objectives are to establish the program’s companies in the North American market on a long-term basis. Among the jury members who expressed significant interest in Wever and the potential for deploying the solution in the North American market:
Manufacturers: Ford, FCA
- OEMs: Magna, Valeo, Aptiv
- University/Research Center: University of Michigan
- Autonomous Vehicle Consulting: WARDS, BCG
- Mobility Players: Qualcomm, Nvidia
- This announcement will accelerate Wever’s roadmap for insourcing, particularly in the North American market. This was planned, albeit a little later, following the fundraising round with Transdev. It will also further Wever’s thinking about the autonomous vehicle business.
