Can you introduce yourself?
I’m Christophe Hurbin, founder and president of myLabel. Free and independent, myLabel is a digital platform that allows everyone to evaluate the products we eat on all aspects of health, planet, and social well-being, based on their personal expectations. In-store—via smartphone—or while shopping online, products that don’t meet expectations can be identified at a glance. Alternatives are then suggested, allowing everyone to consume in line with their values. To identify the impacts of food products, myLabel relies on trusted third parties from associations, NGOs, and institutions (Greenpeace, 60 Million Consumers, CIWF, etc.), experts in their fields. Furthermore, myLabel allows companies to understand, through aggregated and anonymous data, what consumers’ new expectations are and how to reduce the impact of their products and practices. Founders Close HFor those who don’t know you, can you explain how your service offering directly aligns with the Ministry’s public policies? myLabel works to promote more sustainable consumption and production.Everyone, whether NGOs and associations, consumers, or brands, is a participant in a virtuous circle: consumers, first of all, have the opportunity to make their voice heard through what they scan on the app, but above all, to become aware of the environmental and social impact of their decisions and to modify their product choices to reduce this impact. Brands and producers have the opportunity to better understand their customers in order to offer a product offering more in line with their expectations, and thus reduce social and environmental impacts upstream, or downstream impacts on consumer health. Finally, myLabel helps NGOs and associations Raise awareness among citizens as close as possible to the purchasing decision. This also allows us to promote and explain practices—particularly agricultural practices—and labels to consumers, and for businesses to identify practices that affect their market. Founders Check productsWhat are the upcoming challenges your startup/SME is likely to face? My ConsoOur ambition is to introduce myLabel to as many people as possible,
and in particular to introduce our online shopping solution, which is highly appreciated by users but still relatively unknown .
We also need to forge new partnerships with NGOs, associations, and institutions to continue expanding our database of product reviews.

What have been your recent successes in implementing your project? myLabel has onboarded
more than 45,000 people since its launch in April 2019! We offer each person personalized assessments based on their criteria to support them in their dietary transition, step by step. We have created a network of12 associations and NGOs
who trust us by sharing their information with consumers. Finally, the application recognizesmore than 700,000 food products. How have you adapted to the current economic and health crisis? To support consumers during the spring lockdown, we developed our e-commerce solution
that adapts to online food shopping sites. This is a first service in the field of consumer apps.Installing myLabel in one click on your usual online shopping site allows you to directly identify products that meet your values (health, environment, social).
By forcing the display of data that doesn’t normally appear on your online shopping site (respect for animal welfare, presence of pesticides, etc.), users become true consumer hackers. Particularly useful during this period when consumers are more reluctant to go to supermarkets and are questioning production conditions and possible links to global health crises! Mockup plug-in
