A Challenge to Raise Awareness, Mobilize, and Develop Data and Tools for Business and Local Authority Adaptation Strategies
For 10 months, 3 challenges will be proposed to put data at the service of climate change adaptation :
- Challenge #1 – I Train Myself : follow a program of 8 webinars led by the best experts in adaptation and climate data. Thanks to a pedagogical progression, understand, identify and take control of the data (climate, environmental, sociological…) that you will need to implement your adaptation approach and actions.
- Challenge #2 – I Share : contribute to the development of a digital toolbox for adaptation. Share the digital tools, databases, APIs that you have collected or developed that can help other entities and organizations raise awareness, diagnose, or implement their adaptation plan. Benefit in turn from the developments of others ! You can register your tool by filling out the following form.
- Challenge #3 – I Develop : this “ Open Booster ” program will support 8 priority digital tools to accelerate their development (data visualization, algorithms, APIs, databases, maps,…). Whether your project is at the idea stage, a POC, or already industrialized, applications for the open booster are open now.
A Challenge for the Acceleration of Adaptation in Our Territories and Businesses
These Data Challenges aim to primarily support local authorities and businesses in their adaptation strategies.
The initiative is developed in partnership with the ANCT, the operators members of the Mission Adaptation (the ADEME, Météo-France, the Cerema, the OFB), the IGN, the Interconnected network, which supports the digital transformation of local authorities, the City of Paris, the Institute for Climate Economics (I4CE) and the French Tech Corporate Community (FTCC), “ Do tank ” for large groups on their digital transformation.
A Participatory Challenge Open to All
The initiative is open to everyone and all challenges are accessible for free on the platform www.innoverpourlatransitionecologique.fr/adapt-action:
Several key moments and elements of the Data Challenges will also allow citizens to get involved :
- the cycle of webinars is free and open to all without registration;
- the selection of the 8 winning projects for the Open Booster in autumn 2024 is made by combining the open vote on the platform and that of a jury of experts;
- the opportunity to participate in the teams of talents that will support the projects during their participation in the Open Booster.
The Adapt’Action Data Challenges will conclude in March 2025.
