Information Platform for Territories
One of the challenges for ECOLAB is to help “de-silo” the administration, State, Local Authorities and territorial partners, in order to work horizontally, both on data and on support for digital transformation, and facilitating the territorialization of the ecological transition.

The service offer on territorial data infrastructure platforms such as “PRODIGE” aims to mobilize data and contribute in a network to local ecosystems. It participates in the general data oversight strategy and in the methodological management approach of data infrastructure:
To extend this action to platforms based on software other than Prodige, Ecolab generates complementary dynamics, particularly with the neutral animation relay provided by the French Association for Geographic Information (Afigéo), and also in connection with the National Council for Geolocated Information (CNIG)
After reflections engaged within the framework of the “digital and data” project of France Nation Verte on the articulation between national and territorial platforms, a collective dedicated to interoperability and facilitating the sharing of software components within communities of software used for these data platforms was created in late 2023 under the auspices of the CNIG and animated by Afigéo (see below on the CICCLO collective).
The common trunk for the majority of platforms (catalog for describing data, repositories for making them downloadable, tools for making them visible and consultable, APIs for accessing data resources, maps or other dynamic data visualizations) primarily targets public actors in a multi-thematic way. The services, established on these platforms that urbanize territorial data, include support for local authorities, pooling resources, particularly technical, and structuring and animation of the territorial data ecosystem.
These urbanization actions also allow for supporting regional thematic poles with national vocations of the knowledge mission:
Collective Interoperability and Sharing of Software Components for Data Platforms (CICCLO)
The collective is dedicated to promoting interoperability and facilitating the sharing of software components within developer communities working on data platforms. Its goal is to foster the collaborative development of components or modules, the joint implementation of standards and recommendations, particularly those emanating from the National Council for Geolocated Information (CNIG), effective reuse of existing software and the creation of more coherent and interconnected data ecosystems.
The collective, placed under the aegis of the coordination pole with the territories of the National Council for Geolocated Information, is initiated by members of the geOrchestra, OneGeo, Prodige, GéoIDE, and Géoplateforme communities, but can be enriched with members from various software (free or proprietary) communities and application domains related to data platforms. Members could be developers, researchers, data experts, company representatives, and end users, all sharing a common interest in interoperability and collaboration.
The French Association for Geographic Information (AFIGEO) ensures a comprehensive and transversal animation function of the collective, launched at the end of 2023.
