National Knowledge Hub for Renewable Energy (REN)
Renewable Energy Tools: “State of the Art” and “REN – Collection”
The National Knowledge Hub for Renewable Energy (REN) has created two tools: “State of the Art” and “REN – Collection” to better manage the decarbonization of territories using renewable energy.
The State of the Art tool
The Renewable Energy Collection Tool
These two tools are being developed to complement the IGN and Cerema tools.
Which renewable energies are covered?
Initially:

Wind

Solar

Methanization
Ultimately, all renewable energies are intended to be taken into account.
The “State of the Art” Tool
A tool that provides data on renewable energies.
A tool that covers the entire territory, from the national scope to that of the ECPI.
The data will be updated annually. Link to the “State of Play” tool here
Demonstration video of the tool What are the benefits of this “State of Play” tool?
Facilitating access and sharing of data
By visualizing, in map form at the municipal IRIS, the renewable energy generators installed at the inter-municipal, departmental, and regional levels.

Facilitating comparison between territories
By monitoring renewable energy production at the territorial level and providing insight into the achievement of the SRADDET objectives. And by facilitating the production of regional energy panoramas by providing ready-to-use statistical and cartographic visualizations.
Facilitating decision-making to guide energy strategies at the territorial level
By participating in informing local elected officials as part of the strategies developed within the Recovery and Ecological Transition Contracts implemented between the State, the Region, and the territories (support for ecological indicators of the impact of the actions undertaken, support for decision-making).

For whom? Targets and Beneficiaries
Government Services
:
This is an internal management tool currently under construction that will provide better visibility and geolocation of renewable energy facilities. The link to the upcoming EnR-Collecte tool

Gather data in a tool while avoiding double entry
By enabling the dissemination of public data.
By improving visibility of future renewable energy installations through precise geolocation.
Improving the management and monitoring of territorial issues in local public policies.

By centralizing knowledge of the renewable energy sector within a single database shared between decentralized government departments and the Ministry’s Central Administration.
For whom? Targets and Beneficiaries
Access initially restricted to government departments
Government Departments:

Regional and departmental prefectures, Ministries responsible for Energy (DGEC, DGPR, etc.), regional directorates (DREAL, DRAAF), departmental directorates (DDT, DDETS)
